Today, U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced that they secured $2,750,000 in federal funding for critical projects in the Capital Region in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 funding package that was signed into law yesterday. The senators personally secured funding for these projects as congressionally directed spending items.
