Today, Congressman John Sarbanes (MD-03) released the following statement after voting no on the stand-alone Israel supplemental:
"When it comes to support for Israel, we should not be playing games. I voted against this bill because it's a political stunt - a cynical, bad faith maneuver by Speaker Johnson and House Republicans to undermine bipartisan efforts in the Senate that would provide critical resources to Israel, Ukraine and Palestinian civilians in Gaza."
