Washington, Jan. 5 -- Congressman Mike Simpson issued the following press release:
Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson cosponsored H.R. 3591, the Carla Walker Act, a bill that would allocate federal funds to support Forensic Genetic Genealogy (FGG) DNA analysis to help solve previously unsolvable cold cases. This bill is named after Carla Walker, who was abducted in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1974 before being found dead three days later. This bipartisan legislation is sponsored by Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX).
