Congressman John Garamendi (D-CA-08), a senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, today issued the following statement after the Trump administration dropped its appeal of a court decision blocking billions of dollars in U.S. Department of Transportation infrastructure grants because of political differences:
"Blocking hundreds of billions of dollars for roads and bridges over political differences puts California drivers at risk, is petty, and, importantly, illegal.
