WASHINGTON, June 6 -- Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Pipeline Safety: Notice of Intent To Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the Amendments to Liquefied Natural Gas Facilities Rulemaking.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on June 6 by Benjamin D. Kochman, Acting Administrator.

Summary: In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, PHMSA intends to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) analyzing the potential environmental impacts of amendments to the pipeline safety regulations governing liquefied natural gas (LNG).
