WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 -- Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Pipeline Safety: Clarifying Recordkeeping Requirements for Testing in MAOP Reconfirmation Regulation.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 8 by Benjamin D. Kochman, Acting Administrator.

Summary: PHMSA published a final rule containing a technical correction clarifying the applicability of the requirements for reconfirming the maximum allowable operating pressure of certain gas transmission lines. PHMSA received a petition for reconsideration of the final rule and is providing the public with the opportunity to submit comments on the technical correction and petition for reconsideration.
