WASHINGTON, July 1 -- Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Hazardous Materials: Improving Efficiencies for Special Permits and Approvals Renewals.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 1 by Benjamin D. Kochman, Acting Administrator.

Summary: This NPRM streamlines the Hazardous Materials Regulations by allowing a grantee to file an application to renew a special permit or approval any time before its expiration date rather than requiring the application to be filed 60 days in advance.
