U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) met with Texas Association of Community College trustees and Texas students to discuss improving workforce readiness, supporting Pell Grants, and preparing Texans to compete in high-demand, high-skill industries throughout the Lone Star State. Sen. Cornyn also highlighted the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, which included several key provisions to make higher education more accessible and affordable by establishing the Workforce Pell Grant program to extend eligibility for students in short-term programs, expanding 529 Education Savings Accounts, and creating a new school choice tax credit.
