PADILLA, KIM, WICKER, CORNYN LEAD BIPARTISAN BILL TO DRIVE INNOVATION AND STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN NASA AND SPACE INDUSTRY

WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 -- Sen. Alex Padilla issued the following press release:

U.S. Senators Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), Andy Kim (D-N.J.), Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), and John Cornyn (R-Texas) introduced bipartisan legislation to drive space innovation in America through fostering collaboration between NASA and the commercial space industry. By creating the Public Private Talent Exchange Program (PPTE) within NASA, the NASA Talent Exchange Program Act would create partnership opportunities that can further grow expertise across government.

The bill would benefit California's three NASA centers and the state's burgeoning aerospace industry.
