OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: PROCEDURES IN REGULATING AND ENFORCING UNFAIR OR DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 -- Office of the Secretary of Transportation has issued a proposed rule called: Procedures in Regulating and Enforcing Unfair or Deceptive Practices.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Oct. 30 by Gregory Zerzan, General Counsel.

Summary: The Department proposes to reinstate the hearing procedures used when conducting a discretionary rulemaking action under its authority to regulate unfair or deceptive practices in air transportation or the sale of air transportation. This notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) also seeks comment on the rescission of a final rule published by the Department.
