WASHINGTON, June 10 -- Office of the Secretary has issued a rule called: Ensuring Safe Accommodations for Air Travelers With Disabilities Using Wheelchairs.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on June 10 by Gregory D. Cote, Acting General Counsel.

Summary: This document announces that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will not take enforcement action against regulated entities before August 1, 2025, for failing to comply with the new or revised requirements contained in the final rule on "Ensuring Safe Accommodations for Air Travelers With Disabilities Using Wheelchairs" (Wheelchair Rule).
