The notice was published in the Federal Register on Nov. 28 by Karyn Gorman, Departmental Chief Privacy Officer.
Summary: In accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) proposes a new system of records titled, "Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration DOT/FAA 859, Passport and Visa Tracking Records." This system of records allows the FAA to collect, use, and maintain information needed to track progress on passport and visa applications, and expiration dates on official passports for employees and members of the public, such as an employee's dependent(s)....
