WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 -- Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement has issued a rule called: Applicability of Federal Regulations Implementing the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Nov. 28 by Leslie Shockley Beyer, Assistant Secretary, Land Minerals Management.
Summary: This direct final rule revises the Federal regulations to rescind obsolete regulations related to the applicability of the Federal regulations implementing the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA or the Act).
