OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: TITLE: 1,3-BUTADIENE

WASHINGTON, July 1 -- Occupational Safety and Health Administration has issued a proposed rule called: TITLE: 1, 3-Butadiene.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on July 1 by Amanda Laihow, Acting Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health.

Summary: This proposed rule revises some substance-specific respirator requirements to allow different types of respirators to be used under OSHA's 1, 3-Butadiene standard and better aligns this standard with OSHA's respiratory protection standard.
