WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 -- Occupational Safety and Health Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Occupational Exposure to COVID-19 in Healthcare Settings.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 20 by Amanda Laihow, Acting Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health.

Summary: OSHA is extending the period for submitting comments by 60 days to allow stakeholders interested in the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on Occupational Exposure to COVID-19 in Healthcare Settings additional time to review the NPRM and collect information and data necessary for comment.
