NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION ISSUES RULE: REGULATORY GUIDE: STANDARD FORMAT AND CONTENT OF DECOMMISSIONING PLANS FOR MATERIALS LICENSEES

WASHINGTON, April 9 -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued a rule called: Regulatory Guide: Standard Format and Content of Decommissioning Plans for Materials Licensees.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on April 9 by Meraj Rahimi, Chief, Regulatory Guide and Programs Management Branch, Division of Engineering, Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research.

Summary: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is withdrawing Regulatory Guide (RG) 3.65, "Standard Format and Content of Decommissioning Plans for Materials Licensees."
