NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: THE SUNSET RULE

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued a proposed rule called: The Sunset Rule.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 3 by Michael King, Acting Executive Director for Operations.

Summary: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its regulations to insert a conditional sunset date into certain regulations in response to Executive Order (E.O.) 14270, "Zero-Based Regulatory Budgeting to Unleash American Energy."
