WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: Yale Peabody Museum, Yale University, New Haven, CT.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 18 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Yale Peabody Museum intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of sacred objects and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes in this notice.
