WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: Wilson Museum, Castine, ME.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on Jan. 7 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Wilson Museum intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of sacred objects and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
