NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ISSUES NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENDED REPATRIATION: UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, FLORIDA MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, GAINESVILLE, FL

WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: University of Florida, Florida Museum of Natural History, Gainesville, FL.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on Jan. 7 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.

Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the University of Florida-Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH) intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of unassociated funerary objects and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
