NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ISSUES NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENDED REPATRIATION: UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, FLORIDA MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, GAINESVILLE, FL

WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: University of Florida, Florida Museum of Natural History, Gainesville, FL.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 18 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.

Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the University of Florida, Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH) intends to repatriate a certain cultural item that meets the definition of an object of cultural patrimony and that has a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
