NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ISSUES NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENDED REPATRIATION: UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SANTA BARBARA, ART, DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE MUSEUM, SANTA BARBARA, CA

WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: University of California, Santa Barbara, Art, Design & Architecture Museum, Santa Barbara, CA.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 17 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.

Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), Art, Design & Architecture Museum intends to repatriate a certain cultural item that meet the definition of an object of cultural patrimony and that has a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
