WASHINGTON, June 3 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: San Francisco State University NAGPRA Program, San Francisco, CA.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on June 3 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the San Francisco State University (SF State) NAGPRA Program intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of sacred objects, and objects of cultural patrimony and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
