NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ISSUES NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENDED REPATRIATION: NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY, GREGG MUSEUM OF ART & DESIGN, RALEIGH, NC

WASHINGTON, June 16 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: North Carolina State University, Gregg Museum of Art & Design, Raleigh, NC.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on June 16 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.

Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the North Carolina State University, Gregg Museum of Art & Design (Gregg Museum) intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of sacred objects or objects of cultural patrimony and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
