WASHINGTON, Dec. 17 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Denver, CO.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on Dec. 17 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (DMNS) intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of sacred objects and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
