WASHINGTON, June 27 -- National Park Service has issued a notice called: Notice of Intended Repatriation: California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, Arcata, CA.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on June 27 by Melanie O'Brien, Manager, National NAGPRA Program.
Summary: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt (Cal Poly Humboldt) intends to repatriate certain cultural items that meet the definition of objects of cultural patrimony and that have a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.
