WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a notice called: West Coast Take Reduction Team.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on Nov. 4 by Samuel D. Rauch, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Regulatory Programs, National Marine Fisheries Service.
Summary: NMFS is establishing a Take Reduction Team (TRT or Team) and convening a meeting to address the incidental mortality and serious injury of the Central America/Southern Mexico-CA/OR/WA (CAM) stock and Mainland Mexico-CA/OR/WA (MM) stock of humpback whales in the WA/OR/CA sablefish pot fishery.
