WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 -- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a notice called: Takes of Marine Mammals Incidental to Specified Activities; Taking Marine Mammals Incidental to Narwhal, LLC Oil and Gas Exploration Activities in West Harrison Bay, Alaska.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 20 by Kimberly Damon-Randall, Director, Office of Protected Resources, National Marine Fisheries Service.
Summary: Notification is hereby given that NMFS has issued an incidental harassment authorization (IHA) to Narwhal, LLC (Narwhal) to incidentally take by harassment marine mammals during oil and gas exploration activities in west Harrison Bay, Alaska.
