U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), ahead of a vote to block unauthorized military action in Venezuela, on Wednesday took to the floor of the U.S. Senate to expose President Trump's plans to waste billions of taxpayer dollars on nation-building in Venezuela while ignoring the American people who are facing massive health insurance premium increases and skyrocketing costs. Murphy ripped apart the Trump administration's shifting public justifications for the military actions in Venezuela, and argued Congress should reject Trump's corrupt efforts to plunge the United States into another foreign intervention to make his oil industry donors rich.
