GREENSBORO, N.C., March 6 -- The city of Greensboro issued the following news release:

In honor of International Women's Day, the Greensboro Public Library is offering a Writing and Resilience Workshop and open mic event Friday, March 8 from 5:30-8:30 pm at Bull City Ciderworks, 504 State St. Inspiring Inclusion is this year's theme and this free workshop provides the means to honor the creativity and leadership of women around the world.

Participants will build connections with each other as women and men gather to share prose, a poem, a personal memory, or a piece of art created or inspired by a woman from another country. Writers and non-writers alike are welcome. An open mic session will follow.
