WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 -- Sen. Amy Klobuchar issued the following news release:

U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith (D-MN) announced that Congress approved $50,000 in funding to restore a natural corridor along the Lower Reach of the Wild Rice River. The legislation now goes to the President's desk to be signed into law.

"The federal funding we secured will help restore another section of the Wild Rice River - mitigating flooding issues, improving water quality, and restoring fish and wildlife habitat," said Klobuchar.
