SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Feb. 9 -- The Illinois Courts Office issued the following opinion on Jan. 10:
1. Defendant, Raven Chanel Grandberry, appeals from the Du Page County circuit court's order granting the State's motion for pretrial detention, arguing that the court abused its discretion in finding that she was charged with a detainable offense. We reverse and remand.

Defendant was indicted with two counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer (Class 2) (720 ILCS 5/12-3.05(d)(4) (West 2022)) and six counts of aggravated battery of a nurse (Class 3) (id. section 12-3.05(d)(11)) based on an April 2, 2023, incident.
