Washington, Jan. 27 -- Congressman Clay Higgins issued the following news release:
Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) and the other members of the House Freedom Caucus (HFC) Board of Directors sent a letter to President Trump, urging him to maintain Operation Metro Surge and nationwide efforts to enforce federal immigration law.
The letter encourages President Trump to:
1. Maintain immigration enforcement in Minneapolis and nationwide.
2. Use all tools necessary-even the Insurrection Act-to secure the order necessary for the law to be enforced.
3. End funding for Sanctuary Cities.
4. Ensure the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is fully funded.
