Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) secured new requirements to finalize the timeline for the cleanup of West Lake Landfill in Bridgeton, Missouri in government funding legislation passed by the Senate yesterday.
The bill - which is headed to President Trump's desk for signature - includes report language requiring the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to detail the current and projected remediation needs, staffing requirements, and estimates of the latest timeline for removing hazardous waste in the landfill.
