Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) was formally re-appointed (https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record/volume-171/issue-205/senate-section/article/S8522-6?q=%7B%22) to serve on the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the Helsinki Commission. Created in 1976, this independent U.S. Government agency monitors compliance and advancement of human rights, democracy, economic, environmental, and military cooperation in the 57-nation Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) region. Senator Gallego was also on the Commission in the 117th and 118th Congresses.
