WASHINGTON, May 29 -- Food and Drug Administration has issued a rule called: Listing of Color Additives; Myoglobin; Confirmation of Effective Date.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on May 29 by Grace R. Graham, Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Legislation, and International Affairs.
Summary: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or we) is confirming the effective date of February 19, 2025, for the final order that appeared in the Federal Registerof January 17, 2025. The final order amends the color additive regulations to provide for the safe use of myoglobin as a color additive in ground meat and ground poultry analogue products.
