WASHINGTON, April 30 -- Fish and Wildlife Service has issued a notice called: Marine Mammal Protection Act; Receipt of Permit Applications.
The notice was published in the Federal Register on April 30 by Mike Oetker, Regional Director, Southeast Region.
Summary: We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), have received applications for permits to conduct activities with marine mammal species for which the Service has jurisdiction under the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA). We invite the public and local, State, Tribal, and Federal agencies to comment on these applications. Before issuing any of the requested permits, we will take into consideration any information that we receive during the public comment period.
