WASHINGTON, April 18 -- Federal Highway Administration has issued a rule called: National Performance Management Measures; Assessing Performance of the National Highway System, Greenhouse Gas Emissions Measure.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on April 18 by Gloria M. Shepherd, Executive Director, Federal Highway Administration.
Summary: This final rule repeals a requirement that State departments of transportation (State DOT) and metropolitan planning organizations (MPO) establish declining carbon dioxide (CO 2) targets for the greenhouse gas (GHG) measure and report on progress toward the achievement of the target.
