WASHINGTON, May 14 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Renaming of Gulf of Mexico High and Gulf of Mexico Low Offshore Airspace Areas.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on May 14 by Brian Eric Konie, Manager (A), Rules and Regulations Group.

Summary: This action is an administrative change to rename the Gulf of Mexico High and Gulf of Mexico Low offshore airspace areas. The FAA is taking this action to implement the Gulf of Mexico name changes directed in Executive Order (E.O.) 14172, Restoring Names That Honor American Greatness, published January 20, 2025. This action does not change the airspace boundaries, altitudes, or operating requirements.
