FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION ISSUES RULE: AMENDMENT OF CLASS E AIRSPACE; BECKLEY, WV

WASHINGTON, April 18 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Amendment of Class E Airspace; Beckley, WV.

The rule was published in the Federal Register on April 18 by Wayne L. Eckenrode, Acting Manager, Operations Support Group, ATO Central Service Center.

Summary: This action amends the Class E airspace at Beckley, WV. This action is the result of an airspace review conducted due to the decommissioning of the Beckley very high frequency omnidirectional range (VOR) as part of the VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) Program. This action brings the airspace into compliance with FAA orders and supports instrument flight rule (IFR) procedures and operations.
