WASHINGTON, Aug. 18 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Various Airplanes.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 18 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all airplanes with certain Pacific Scientific Company rotary buckle assemblies (buckles) installed. This AD was prompted by a report of a manufacturing defect in the screws used inside the buckle.
