WASHINGTON, Nov. 20 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Leonardo S.p.a. Helicopters.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on Nov. 20 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2024-09-02, which applies to all Leonardo S.p.a. Model AW169 helicopters. AD 2024-09-02 required replacing certain aft float assemblies or, as an alternative, deactivating the emergency flotation system (EFS).
