WASHINGTON, March 18 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a rule called: Airworthiness Directives; ATR-GIE Avions de Transport Regional Airplanes.
The rule was published in the Federal Register on March 18 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all ATR-GIE Avions de Transport Regional Model ATR42 and ATR72 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of a manufacturing defect identified in the lavatory fire extinguisher.
