WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Special Conditions: Pratt and Whitney Canada, PW220A; Flat 30-Second and 2-Minute OEI Rating.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 7 by Michael Thompson, Acting Manager, Technical Policy Branch, Policy and Standards Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: This action proposes special conditions for the Pratt and Whitney Canada (PWC) aircraft engine model PW220A. This engine will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for engines.
