WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Normalizing Unmanned Aircraft Systems Beyond Visual Line of Sight Operations.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 7 by Bryan Bedford, Administrator, Federal Aviation Administration.

Summary: This action proposes performance-based regulations to enable the design and operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) at low altitudes beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and for third-party services, including UAS Traffic Management (UTM), that support these operations.
