WASHINGTON, Nov. 24 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Modification of Class E Airspace; Ralph Wien Memorial Airport, Kotzebue, AK.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Nov. 24 by B.G. Chew, Group Manager, Operations Support Group, Western Service Center.

Summary: This action proposes to modify the Class E2 airspace extending upward from the surface and Class E5 airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface to optimize instrument flight procedure containment at the Ralph Wien Memorial Airport, Kotzebue, AK. This proposal supports the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at the airport.
