WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Schempp-Hirth Flugzeugbau GmbH Gliders.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Nov. 28 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.

Summary: The FAA is revising a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that would have applied to certain Schempp-Hirth Flugzeugbau GmbH (Schempp-Hirth) Model CIRRUS gliders. This action revises the NPRM by changing references to the affected glider model from CIRRUS to STANDARD CIRRUS throughout the proposed airworthiness directive (AD).
