FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES; SAFRAN HELICOPTER ENGINES, S.A. (TYPE CERTIFICATE PREVIOUSLY HELD BY TURBOMECA, S.A.) ENGINES

WASHINGTON, March 13 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Safran Helicopter Engines, S.A. (Type Certificate Previously Held by Turbomeca, S.A.) Engines.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on March 13 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.

Summary: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Safran Helicopter Engines, S.A. (Safran) Model ARRIUS 2F and ARRIUS 2R engines.
