WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 -- Federal Aviation Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Airworthiness Directives; Leonardo S.p.a. Helicopters.
The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Jan. 26 by Steven W. Thompson, Acting Deputy Director, Compliance & Airworthiness Division, Aircraft Certification Service.
Summary: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Leonardo S.p.a. Model AB139, AW139, and AW189 helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of cracks on the left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) tube assemblies installed on the brake pedal assemblies.
