EMPORIA, Kan., March 20 -- Emporia State University issued the following news release:

The annual storm safety and spotter training offered by the National Weather Service will be held at Emporia State for 2024.

On Wednesday, March 27, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service in Topeka will present weather safety information. This training will focus on severe storm safety, preparedness, and awareness. Storm structure and accurate identification of important cloud features associated with supercell and squall line thunderstorms will also be covered.

The session will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Preston Family Room on the second floor of ESU's Memorial Union, 1331 Market St.
